With arms straight at your side, place the measuring tape around the fullest part of the bust, under your arms. Just like a well-fitting pair of jeans, you want the tape to be taut but not tight.
To measure your waist, find the narrowest part of your waist by bending to the side. Where your side folds is your natural waistline and the narrowest part of your torso. Place the tape around this point and pull taut.
Stand with your feet together, place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips, which tends to be right at the hip bone or just below. Pull the measuring tape taut and do a quick check in the mirror to ensure it is even across your derrière (which is French for derrière…). Et voila! You have your hip circumference.
